| if it's your first Sasha album i'd recommend either Global Underground 013 or Involver. Airdrawndagger is a brilliant and wonderful album, but it took me a long time and many listens to really enjoy it. i don't think it's as accessible as his other albums, and being a n00b you might want to start out with something more accessible... but it's definitely a must-own if you are a fan of Sasha. |

Nah, the first disc all the way. Save for a few tracks, the second disc is actually quite weak and choppy in terms of flow and track progression, IMO, and I have never been able to and still can't get into it like I can with CD1. I almost wish GU:013 was only a one disc release, because nothing comes close to the smooth flow and mixing of the first mix, especially tracks 9,10,11. Those have to be the best back to back to back mixes I've ever heard in any dj comp, so I don't agree at all with the boring comment here...
With regards to the thread topic, GU:013 would be my recommendation. |

Northern Exposure is my fav album of any gendre, so definately check it out!
As for a sasha solo album, check out GU 13- it's gorgeous. Also pick up airdrawndagger. once you're comfortable with it, check out involver. do yourself a favor and don't buy fundation. (yeah i said it!) |

it may be smooth but its hella lackluster. starts off good but then its just the same boring track after another with few exceptions (both being the sander tracks). CD2 on the other hand has all the classics, and treads on much more versatile ground (breaks, trance, progressive house, etc) |

Again, I'd have to disagree with that, but different strokes for different folks I guess. CD2 may have all the classics, but I still feel like it is very choppy and inconsistent compared to the first one, and that totally ruins it for me. Plus some of the songs on that disc just sound downright annoying, ie: BT - Fibonnacci Sequence and POB - The Fly. I don't have that problem at all with the first disc and personally, I much prefer dj mixes that aren't so versatile and don't jump around genres so much because they tend to flow better IMO. |
