Just got back. I liked it.

- Some things were much more concise in the book but thats to be expected.
- Tom Hanks grew on me, was not feeling him as Langdon in the beginning.
- Loved the changes they did make, a few interesting twists.
- I think I wouldve been confused had I not read the book previously.
- I liked the book more because I felt like I was helping them solve the mystery. In the movie the codes were being solved before we even got to see them.
- Yes Laura! why no smooch?!?! weird!

holy.sexual.tension.

Prolonged hugging and that half moment of staring inches away from each other's faces and no kiss. Anti-climactic!

Ah well, I guess I'll get over it. :p

just got back :)

overal exactly what I expected (which is a good thing in my case:))

followed the book pretty closely, but didn't trail off into history as much as the book did

some really good acting, I think actress who played Sophie was pretty convincing:)

but yeah - why no kissy?!:(

I have not read the book and I am not a religious person. That said, my short summary:

Thought the movie was very well done. I'm a sucker for treasure hunts so of course I was lured into this film.

I called the 'ending' early on into the movie so there was no suprise there: extremely predictable. However many aspects kept me guessing.

How many people jumped in your theater when Silas (Paul Bettany) jumped out at Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) in the study?

The cinematic sequences were great, the merging between past and present were very well done, the acting very nice (besides the cheesy liners).

All in all a well done movie but I was still left wanting more. Didn't feel settled in the end. Too many times I was left sitting there going "oh, well I guess he just happened to know such and such" for my liking.

3.5/5

Just got back.

A critic wrote : "...more entertaining and satisfying than the novel."

umm....NO.

I enjoyed the movie, overall it was fun seeing some of the novel scenes captured on the big screen. The opening and the last scene were very well done...just as I pictured when reading the novel.

Obviously they coulden't capture all the details and the aspects of the novel in the time frame...nevertheless, they did a very good job.

I sure did!

How many people thought Robert would go back and grab Sophie and give her a real kiss after that sissy g-rated one on the forehead that he gave her? ;)

Audrey Tautou, I adore her. She was a perfect Sophie!

I went into this not having read the book and quite frankly had absolutely no clue what it was about, and I thought it was a really good movie. I find movies like this really interesting, where events from our extreme past are tied into things/reasons that are happening in the present.

just saw it last night...
hadn't read the book... even tho i wish i had (now that i've seen the movie i don't think im gonna bother anymore)

but i found it to be quiet good... even tho i do not think tom hanks did a very good job. but the story/idea of the book & movie was awesome, i love stuff like that.
