Because sometimes you have to stand your ground and not let twats have their own way just because they're a twat. I understand that by braking i could have ensured a peaceful outcome - but maybe next time he thinks of doing something like that he'll remember today and think twice, where as if i had pulled over he'll do it again. |

that's true. but given the circumstanes...like i said, just let him go. If it was someone calling my mom a bitch then that's when you stand your ground. But a crash has many repercussions. Trust me I wouldn't enjoy letting the ****** pass;:whip: |

if you and the car in front were doing 55mph, there is no way that truck could have got past you.
All trucks over 7.5 ton are restricted in the UK to 56mph.
thats not like speed limits for cars where if we chose to go over 60mph we can, trucks have a mechanical restrictor in place so its impossible for them to go over that speed.
They also have tachographs in the cab, a means of recording every journey the truck does, its a legal requirment and these graphs are handed in to the ministry of transport so if Drivers of large trucks are breaking the speed limit or driving hours they will face the law.
Of course it does not stop truckers trying to go as fast as they can in thier trucks and in some circumstances they can go over 56mph, like if they are going downhill.
I would have stood my ground too, the car is fully insured, if he had hit it, i get a new car out of it, he loses his license for dangerous driving.
And for future refrence, if you get chased by anyone in a car, van or truck, head for the nearest police station, they usally off pretty sharpish when they see thats your intention lol |

If the fun and games had carried on after the round about i would have done, but we were out the country and 5+ miles from the nearest bobby station. |
