One of my friends spent two years overseas teaching English and he said it was the greatest experiences of his life. I would love to have done that when I was younger.
From what he told me I would recommend it. |

i have several friends that have done it. my brother in law taught english in Japan for 3 years. Had mixed things to say about. Overall he enjoyed the experience, he's fluent in Japanese, etc. His brother did it in Korea this past year and came back early. Another friend was in Korea this year and came back half way through her term. She hated it.
Bottom line is that foreigners are looked down upon in Japan/Korea, at least from the expereinces that my friends had. You have to be really open-minded and be able to deal with those situations. |

Haha, i have several buddies that are going to Russian to play volleyball next year. City called Kazan, 6 hours east of Moscow. Personally i prefer warmer countries :D but for the money that they're making i'd play in Siberia!! |

sohaness is doing that now.
most places require an interview, that you are a canadian citizen, and any university degree.
I've heard if you don't go through an agency tho, there is more money to be made. |

A women I used to work with has a daughter that went to Japan last August to teach english and she is saying nothing but good things about it. She gets to teach, which she loves, the people are great, the scene there is awesome and the culture I guess is amazing to her. So I'm sure it would be nothing but a great experience. Whomever I know who has gone over seas to teach says it was an amazing time and one they'll never forget.
EDIT: Kelly I think you would be great for something like that. You should really check into it. |
