Any of you guys/gals from Fiji? If so, how do you say Happy Birthday in Fijian?
jdat
marau sigaanisucu
Lira
"Happy Birthday" - English is their official language :D

Actually, jdat, the correct form would be "sigaanisucu marau"
quote:
Adjectives:

Always follow the noun:
the large house- na vale levu
a beautifull house -na vale totoka
a dirty shirt -na vale duka
the red shirt- na sote danudamu

edit: Probably "a dirty shirt" is actually "a dirty house" - otherwise, the examples don't make sense.

I know English is their official language, but they still do speak Fijian. And, I'm trying to get into the pants of a girl from Fiji. :D

Why was I sure this had something to do with a girl? :p

Oh, foreign girls... I know I learnt Russian because of them :D

(it did work, by the way)

Mmmhmmm, we shall see how this proceeds. :D

Thanks Lira.

You're welcome - just one more thing: are you going to "write" or "say" that?

If you mean to say that, remember that sounds change: marau sigaanisucu should sound like - "muddow seen'ahnisoothoo" in English (the "th" is voiced as in "these"), from what I've read. And see the good side: if you say something "wrong", it might sound charming :p

She's my co-worker, my plan is to leave flowers, a balloon and a card on her car, so when she leaves it will be there. She works 6:30a.m. to 3p.m. and I work 10:30a.m. to 7p.m. So I'll have an opportunity to surprise her.

Is she actually Fijian or Indian Fijian?

Fiji has a really large population of East Indians who migrated there long ago. Perfect example is the golfer Vijay Singh.
