Fondue Appreciation Thread

Oh man, for my birthday dinner last night my girlfriend took me to The Melting Pot. A 4 course meal that included:
A Swiss cheese & cherie liquor fondue with bread, veggies, and apples (omg cheese & apples ftw!!)
A ceaser salad
A Coq Au Vin fondue with burbon with ahi tuna, chicken, 2 types of steak, lobster tail, peppercorn pork, pot stickers, ravioli's, and veggies
And for desert..........a dark chocolate fondue with marshmallow fluff and crubmled oreos with a peice of cheesecake, marshmallows, brownie bites, strawberries and pineapple slices
And a bottle of wine. God damn, I got so fat and drunk last night it was great! I almost passed out!
I strongly recommend fondue to everyone, it is THE BEST god damn food evar. Thank you. |

I love standard oil fondue, and I love Shabu Shabu fondue... but i'm wrestling with meat eating these days so its just Cheese fondue for me.
With Cheese fondue its all about the right bread methinks.
Chocolate fondue sounds too rich for my liking so I've never considered trying it.
P.S. I acknowledge the similarity in our sig files (it's like showing up to the prom in the same dress! oh the humanatee), and will download your mix as a result :) |

I've had some fondue, but it was pretty mediocre. I don't think there were any additives so bleh |
