I cannot express how happy I am happy to see SvD play at Spundae LA. I still remember the night where I saw SvD for the first time and messaged SpundaeFounder at like 3am saying how he was so amazing. And I have not stopped bugging him about SvD since. I was so happy to hear Spundae book SvD at their WMC pool party, and wayyyy more happy to see him get his own headliner slot at Spundae LA. I guess Spundae sees potential. :p

If there is one new DJ who you MUST see this year, it's SvD. Just go see him and you will see what I mean. Hopefully he'll be as impressive in LA as he was in here in SF and as impressive as most of his monthly mixes are (though none of them compare to his set here back in January.

Productions aside, his programming is simply astounding for all the genres he plays (prog trance, trance, prog house, breaks, techno, etc)....and I have loved most of his productions lately, too.

He is the first producer & DJ to blow me away since Markus Schulz in like 2002...I really think with the whole package SvD brings, he could very well be the next trance DJ that EXPLODES onto the scene. There are some amazing trance DJs (eg Eddie Halliwell), but they lack with their producing skills...and there are some amazing trance producers who have a long way to go when it comes to DJing...but SvD is excellent in both producing and DJing and it's going to take him a long way, me thinks.

I really really wish I could be there to experience what's going to be an amazing night.

Liked his productions in the beginning, but they're starting to get boring and predictable. His trackselections are still not the finished product by a long shot. I think he will improve as he gains more experience though. The talent is definitely there.
