Breaks....where the love is?

After listening to a few recent breaks sets, and being annoyed by the MC, I figured they are actually doing a good job of promoting a healthy environment. Yes they are constantly talking, but they are also promoting peace between everybody there, an open community, and a fun atmosphere.

This goes along with the vibe I get sometimes going through the orange room. The breaks/jungle/drum n bass community do try and bring people together. Yes, I know that house and trance try and create a nice atmosphere too, but it just seems that these break beat genres doing a better job imo.

It seems as if they have been prosecuted against, and they just want to come out enjoy some good music and party together. I must say, I am leaning towards the breaks community more and more recently. Lots of fresh sounds, and interesting ideas, plus the LOVE!

Can you feel it?

MC's really do help bring the people together at a party. Its kinda weird tho, usually people seem to have more attitude at jungle/dnb parties then house or trance parties.

Meh, its all good for me :)

Be it a jungle, drum and bass, breaks, or bar-mitvah party.. MC's suck! I can't stand their innane blabbering!

However, cetain intelligent and eloquent hip-hop MC's kick ass ;)

a good MC is also one who knows when to STFU!

an MC who talks for the sake of talking...continuously throughout the *entire* track...that's a poor MC, IMHO.

I love most the MCs are happy hardcore parties! Adds to the vibe.

i wasnt a fan of the MC I heard in KH on monday morning though... but I dont have an appreciation for jungle in general, so that could be affecting my opinion the MC too\

And eveyone is always happy and uber upbeat at HHC parties, but FAR the nicest, most pleasant crowd ive ever encourtered in my partying days. All love everywhere. its inspiring and nice for a change.

The funny thing is, I didnt even go on Sunday night. Its just something I've been moving towards lately.

After listening to the stuff coming from WMC this year, house and trance just weren't coming up with anything new.

exactly.

Sometimes a good MC can really get a party going, but they're only good live... hearing it on recorded sets blows.

On Sunday night, Andy C was playing along with MC GQ, and he was doing a really good job... but the stupid local MC joined in with GQ and totally ruined it. Every 10seconds he'd say "ANDY AND GQ!", i wanted to run up and punch him the face, lol
