The original?

More than definite.

A 3D remake?

Highly doubt it.

Then again, I can TOTALLY see Nintendo using NiWiFi to release a 3D remake via chapter downloads. How cool would THAT be?

i dunno if you guys knew about this, and yes, this is off-topic slightly, but there was a fan remake of chrono trigger completely in 3d. it looked in gorgeous. then square got word of it and sent them a cease and desist letter. google "chrono trigger remake project" or something like that.

supposedly it's still going to be completed, but only for personal use. no public release. :whip:

There were 2, actually. The lesser known one, Chrono Ressurection, is usually passed over when discussing the topic of the Chrono Trigger remake. Remake Project definitely showed off some amazing screenshots and if memory serves me right, there was even a video showcasing various events.

New DS Lites headed to Japan
Final Fantasy III edition of white hardware drops August 24, with Jet Black counterpart set for September 2 release.

Just a couple of weeks after Nintendo unveiled the peppy new Noble Pink model of its DS Lite, Japanese gamers have a couple more versions of the hardware to consider.

First off, when the DS version of Final Fantasy III launches August 24, it will leave its mark on the system in more than one way. Famitsu.com disclosed today the game will launch bundled with a special edition Crystal White DS Lite. The DS will feature characters sketched by none other than FFIII character designer Akihiko Yoshida. Each unit will also be stamped with a unique serial number. The bundle will retail for 22,780 yen (roughly $197). Of course, the game will also be available separately for 5,980 yen (about $52).

Meanwhile, Nintendo revealed that the DS Lite will be getting another, more somber variation. The Jet Black DS is scheduled to hit store shelves in Japan on September 2; it has been available in Europe since the handheld went on sale there last month. As with the rest of the DS Lite lineup, the Jet Black variation will retail for 16,800 yen (about $144).

I would buy one of those if hadn't bought one already.
Moongoose
I dont have one yet, so i would buy that one if i saw it in an instant, but seeing as how its a limited edition its doubtful that it will find its way here. Still totaly badass.
