This is true.
I think the problem is that most members don't realize that the are talking to a real person not a computer screen.
In a real life situation nobody would ever ing dare to be so rude.
On the internet, however, hiding behind their computer screen ''anything goes''.
''In their little corner'' they can be who they really are. They can be like ''Mr. mystery''.

Why do they act like that?

Actually, you're making an assumption here: I know plenty of people who are that way in real life. Often it's considered as being "frank" by those who like such attitude, and "rude" by those who don't.
That being said, I try my best to treat people on-line the same way I do as if I looked them right in the face. |
