So... for those of you who don't know, my bike got stolen not too long ago. Whoever stole it cut the bike lock in half, ditched it in a bush and stole the bike I had JUST bought for $600!!!!
Anyway, tonight I am coming home from my night class, and we drive past this guy on a bike. Guess what?! IT WAS MY BIKE HE WAS RIDING!!!
So we turned around and followed him for about 3 blocks. He realized we were totally following him, so he bailed off the main road, and we lost him amongst some houses and side streets.
We called the police and made a report with his description, so hopefully they find him.
That ******!
He looked to be 17-18, all gangster with his jersey and cap on. WAYYYY too big for the bike (dumb bag), and something I noticed that I oddly get satisfaction from, was that he was pedaling a lot.
Let me explain why that makes me happy. When I had the bike, I had an accident that screwed up the gears, so it sets the gears to the lowest one, forcing the rider to pedal twice as much to go. He was pedaling like crazy, but the bike wasn't going very fast.... so it's still broken. It satisfies me to know that even though he has my bike, it's broken and that sucks for him. LOL!! |

Yep... and he was clearly too big for it. It looked like a little kid bike with him on it.
Argh, I am so frusterated that we lost him. I wish I got out of the car and chased him by foot. It does give me hope however, that my bike is still around, and now, after being followed, he might ditch it. |

i wish you had dominated him in a rap battle, which would have made him hand over the bike no questions asked.
i hope you get it back. :) |

ya, i was wondering why you/your friend didn't chase after him. i mean, ITS YOUR BIKE. Who cares if your car is double parked and the cops tow it away! ITS YOUR BIKE. TA don't take that kind of from nobody. Who cares if he if is a really bad guy and you corner him in an alley and he pulls out a machete and hacks your friend into a million peices! ITS YOUR BIKE! FREEDOOOMMMMMM |

Me too.
I am really regretting not chasing him on foot. I was so close to getting it back. DAMNIT!!
Hopefully the guy either ditches it and it gets found, OR he is dumb enough to ride around the area with the cop looking for him.
At least I know the general area he hangs in now *massive sketchville*, so I can keep my eyes peeled if I am going near there. |
