ha I wish. dont have the money to blow on that.

I was 102 here. I could see the stage but I couldnt make out their faces. it was still an amazing though. they really know how to put on a show.

Yeah, that's when you rely on the atmosphere you and the others around you create to truly enjoy it imo. That's an amazing picture. If only it was Scott Weilands head. :haha:

the section was actually pretty in terms of atmosphere. I was like the only person standing up and singing along until the classics kicked in about halfway through and then everyone got into it. :p

some guy actually told me to sit down...during the concert. I was like no I paid a 100 bucks for this im dancing my ass off.

the only modern r&b singer that can be justified as a diva is Mariah Carey, a diva must have a distinct voice, most moder female us r&b singers does not have distinct voices, they all just copy people in the past, Carey did indeed copy people like whitney in heyday, but she managed to proven herself worthy of the Diva lable, shame all that she does nowadays is wail her way through every song.

didn't mean to neglect the original divas, but i'm not really a fan of that old school stuff, so i was talking about like the modern day divas. i agree about mariah being the main one of today...i think mary j. would be a strong 2nd yea?

oh and whitney...stupid coked up trash.

here's a link to milian's myspace estella...check out "who's gonna ride"

HA! The formalities of concerts  I saw Sigur Ros in an amazzzzing venue a couple of months ago. Some guy friends were pretty wasted and singing along, badly. Of course, that can only end in fights at the end of the show:rolleyes: I guess witnessing Sigur is almost holy, but still..

Ha thanks, because I wasn't finding it... but I don't like it at all. I could never get into the newer R&B, over anything past the early 90's for that matter. Thanks for the link though

Whitney's long earned her diva status, now she's just taking a hiatus.

Diva material I think is another level. Whitney resorted to drugs, Mariah and her breakdown, Ross and her heroin, Tina and her relationships, Holiday and her drug abuse, Janet and her psychological up and downs, Simone and her drug abuse/self exile.. I'm sure it goes on and on.

I think Madonna held everything together well.

and if someone already mentioned Lauryn Hill, then Erykah Badu can be thrown in there as well.

lauren hill isn't a diva. she's just an angry black bitch. lol she's probably involved with the black panthers or something...she seems like that type.
