i really think this has nothing to do with "copying" avb. more like made events wants to make more money and of course paul can't say no to nyc.

if anything avb's copied pvd over the years. notice how his live sets have been much more techy as of late.

i don't know if this is good news or bad news....

good:

- it gives me a chance to see him two nights in a row
- it might be less crowded

bad:

- a load more people are probably gonna go
- PvD's set might not be as good

Do you have what it takes to promote like the best of them? What are you willing to do to prove it? We're looking for electronic music's most creative, enthusiastic fans, who have what it takes to promote one of the most exciting dance events of the summer; PvD in Central Park! Win the Grand Prize and get an all expense paid trip for you and a friend to New York City for both Central Park events!

This is not a random drawing, but a heated competition to prove that you are the most creative and savvy promoter!
1. Fill out the Entry Form before 12pm EST on June 23, 2006 and let us know what you would do to get people to buy tickets from you to the Paul van Dyk in Central Park events. Do you have what it takes to promote like the best of them? We know our stuff, here's your chance to show us you do. We need visuals! This is where creativity counts, we will review every entry and decide if you have what it takes.

2. We'll select the lucky Final Four, each of whom will receive a unique URL which can be used to sell tickets to Paul's events in Central Park. Thousands of people WILL be buying tickets to these events online - the key is to get them to buy their tickets using the URL we provide to you. Every ticket sold through your URL is a vote for you. We'll post a progress update every week, so you know how you and the other Final Four are doing.

3. The Finalist with the most votes as of 12pm EST on August 6, 2006 will be selected as the Grand Prize Winner! The winner and a guest will be treated to round trip flights to New York City from anywhere in the continental US, stay in one of New York City's finest hotels, and be treated to VIP passes for Made Event presents Paul van Dyk's Politics of Dancing 2 World Tour in Central Park on Friday, August 18 and Saturday, August 19 2006!

maybe you should bring this to the attention of MadeEvents here on TA. I'm sure we could work something out becuase i seriously would prefer to see paul on saturday and not friday.
Choobak
The only way he can make up for this is by playing an all classics night on Friday. ;)

The contest is retarded by the way. I would assume that the person who sells the most tickets would end up being from New York, so why would he or she want to win a trip to here? I guess the VIP is kind of cool...
