A while back there was a short video of some kid who was imitating star wars jedi-knight moves w/ a broomstick. People the world over took liberties w/ the video adding actual saber effects, etc and the guy had his 15 minutes of fame.
In the second video the guy is trying to imitate the aforementioned video but is using his mac book... |

To my understanding, they are using a mod on the motion sensor. In the first one it's the taps that do these things. In the second one, the dropping and rapidly moving motions make light saber sounds out of the computers speakers
