Oh i don't want to keep it, i just want to give it somewhere to stay until i can find it's mom or till i call Toronto Wildlife.
It took to me as well as a wild animal could i guess. At first it tried to jump out of the box and kept crying but now it's settled in well and is sleeping. I'll feed it a little tomorrow morning (i don't want to give it too much in case that's not what it should be fed), and go looking for the mom. Should i not be able to find her i'll call the centre and see what they recommend i do. |
If its eating the bread, I'd feed it the bread. U dont want it to go hungry, and bread isnt gonna harm it at all. Remember, babies need more feedings as they are growing so rapidly. |

Unless somone is a vet or an animal rescue/rehab expert - nobody has any business keeping a wild animal.

An old best friend of mine from public school, his family are HUGE bigtime hunters and fishers...
Anyways, his dad found a pup in the woods that turned out to be 1/2 wolf... which they could pretty much tell once they saw it... so many wolflike features, but of a smaller frame.
Named it Timber actually. This thing was ing big regardless. It never liked ANYONE but Steve's mom and Steve, though it respect his Dad bc it was afraid of him. I couldnt near it... thing would prolly kill me i swear.. it was an intense pet to have... steve ing loved it... had it almost 13 years or so before it died i think....
thats my random story inspired by your comment. |

the official tota pet. Updates are needed every day.
we can all take turns taking care of it like in elementary school with the hamster.
google some stuff on how to take care of it. if you don't want it, call the humane society and ask what to do with it or if they will take it.
i believe the mother won't take it back if it is an egg only but i'm not sure about that. |

So I dropped off our little duckling at the Earth Rangers' Wildlife Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre. I was given a number for it so I can call and checkup on it regularly, which is great! The lady who saw it also said it was no more than 2 days old (which explains why it took to us so easily, it was following Carlos around this morning), and I am confident it'll be very well taken care of there! Happy ending! :D
Another few pics taken this morning:
It fell asleep on top of the router! ^^

Awww... too cute! Good thing you got him into the proper hands, cuz he was much younger than any of us imagined, I'm sure. You did a good thing, Lauryn. I wonder if the little bugger will remember his little adventure? Happy ending.
