I can't believe all the fuss this has caused. Time to put this to bed. Firstly, Neo is the only mod at the top of the forum, hes been trying to get fastmp3 added for a while now, Swamper says he'll do it, fast wants him to, he just hasn't yet. Me and Neo have supermod/admin access which along with other things, means we can mod all the forums.
This all started with Jackson making a thread in the CORe about the England football match that evening. I was asked by 3 people to move it out the CORe, as it was a sports thread, into sports. So i did, i also left a redirect arrow so he would get the promotion from the CORe, which is what he wanted, and it would also be in the correct forum attracting the football regular posters, but that wasn't enough.
After moving his thread, Jackson made the traditional "why was my thread moved thread". Neo closed it with "i dont know why we bother sometimes". After justifying to 3 people in #UKTA why i left a redirect and not just move (mainly to avoid a "why did you move my thread thread) to see that thread pissed me off, so i had a rant in it.
After refreshing, Jackson makes another thread quoting Neo's "i dont know why we bother sometimes" and put after it "yea i dont know why we bother sometimes either :rolleyes:". After seeing me rant in the 2nd thread, he deleted the thread, realising i was pissed off. So i decided to close down his original thread which was now in sports for being a cocky sod. The you made another thread, which i said the thread starter would know why its closed, so instead of PM'ing him, you've decided to make another thread. So we've had 5 threads all on this subject all because one person threw his toys out the pram because his sports thread was moved to the sports forum where it was supposed to be anyway, and one person couldnt be bothered to use any common sense, and thought they'd add to the drama.
People may not like me but i have enough to do without charging around making more work for me and Neo with games like these. Contrary to popular belief, me and Neo do not sit on our PC's wacking one everytime we close a thread. We do not enjoy modding, and its occasions like this that make us question why we even bother.
And for people thinking i was "abusing my administrator position" by coming in here, Neo was in UKTA last night as well and saw the whole conversation and was annoyed as me, so if he felt i was "overstepping the mark" he would have either over-ruled my decisions in here (we can both over-rule each other) or told me not to do it. |
