What a piece of movie. I wouldn't see it again if someone paid me to. Completely ruined the movie series and it's obvious that the person who wrote it knew nothing about x-men.

Juggernaut is Xavier's brother and is always going after him in the comics and the tv show, let's have them walk by each other in the movie and completely ignore eachother.

We don't have the patience to tell the true story of the Pheonix so lets make up a stupid back story.

Terrible movie.

I agree with on a level with you. I didnt enjoy this movie as much as I'd hope. They didnt do Juggernaut justice... many small but pertinent things were left out... was he in fact entirely INVINCIBLE in this movie... ie. a sword could not damage him... but he is in the comics... and that helmet he wears, its similar to magnetos... Xavier cannot penetrate his mind so long as he wears it... thats why he wears it! :) ...

... AND the bastardization of the phoenix saga really hurt to see! :(

The effects and powers of Jean as the Phoenix were WEAK IMO...

Mystyk losing her powers was shocking! But yea, she was hot lying on the floor... too bad she dont look that good in her new TV show on the WB.

But I guess we all should know that this wasnt of course gonna stay exactly or mostly true to form. I mean, Mystyk is Rogue's mother in the comics... and Rogue isn't young either in the comics...

So I guess in hindsight, the changes they did to Juggernaut's character shouldn't have surprised me.

The Pheonix story wasn't done as well as it could have been tho.

The cartoons are the best X-Men product by far. I wish I could get them all on DVD and watch them every day.

I ENTIRELY agree w/ the Phoenix story comment! +UBER 1

And yea, the original cartoons ARE THE !

My brother has them all on his comp, its nice having access to watch them... which I know think Ill this week :D

It drives me crazy when ppl freak out over the from comic movies.. saying 'they didn't stick to the story'

i am a very intense comic lover.. i always have been ever since i was a kid.. and i have to say that personally.. i am very impressed with what Hollywood has created with these movie randitions of these comics ( mainly Spiderman and X-Men)

if the producers of these movies wanted to stick directly to the stories that we've read since we were young... each series of movies would have to be like 10 movies long! there are so many different storylines in comics, so many long back stories of each character... it would never be able to be brought to the big screen if they stuck right to the stories

keep in mind they are not movies made FROM the comic books...they are movies based on the characters from the comics..

By that logic we could change entire story lines and just use that as an excuse. While we're at it let's give wolverine the ability to fly and just take away his claws since we don't have to stay true to the story.

sure why not. i kinda agree with nikitha...

the characters, stories, powers n all that are all part of the xmen mythlogoy and are totally up to the story tellers interepretation imo.

so if jim bob thinks itd be more interesting to make magneto an eskimo then hey im open to it.

I don't think you understood my point...

It has nothing to do with 'staying true to the story'...because the producers only took the characters and their abilities from the original stories...the point of making these movies wasn't to translate from the pages to the big screen.. the point of these movies was to make a story based on the characters and their mutations in the comic book... they would never take away a specific charaters ability just because they could and "didn't have to stick to the story" because they made the movies based around the characters and their abilities.. not based around the characters, their abilities and their original introduction to the X-men series and their specific story or life they led in the comic

Then they shouldn't be randomly selecting certain stories and origins to stick to or taking previously existing stories ie. the Phoenix and completely ruining them. There's a difference between taking the characters and building from the ground up and picking and choosing to follow half the story but completely ruining the other half.

They might not have followed it properly in the first two movies, although I hadn't noticed because those movies were actualy good. It just goes to show that when they start to change core stories and rebuild them that it completely s up the movie.
