This morning i let the dogs out before i fed mini-me. After a few minutes i hear my minature schnauzer crying at the door, which is bizzare because normally it just barks at it's own shadow. I let them in and she runs downstairs to eli's side of the bed looking for him. She then comes into the living room where i proceeded to feed mini-me. She continues to cry but it sounds weird and her mouth was partially open. She jumps up onto the couch and sits beside us crying. I decided to put my hand in her mouth to see if she had cut herself or had a stick lodged in her gum or something ridiculous like that. Much to my surprise i pull out a dead baby robin, which she had been choking on, i guess she was only able to breathe out of her nose. Once i realized what i was holding i threw it on the floor and put rowan down and disposed of the carcass and washed my hands. STupid dog.

I'd beat the living out of the dog for killing a baby robin.

we have a lot of moles in our yard during the summer, and one morning my dog comes from inside and just plops this petrified mole on the ground and looks up at us. it's legs were curled and positioned straight up in the air. it was cool

( i wanted to dissect it but i was told not to  )

Yeah they're different.

Ours is the European Robin, which is a 'true' Robin. The American Robin, as its called is actually a member of the Thrush family, and is not in any way related to a European Robin. What happened was when the settlers from England came over to America years ago they saw a red breasted thrush and called it a Robin.

The European ones are pretty shy, but the ones in the UK/Ireland are very friendly and will often eat out of your hand.
