hey guys, i tried to make this track as dark as possible.. it also has some Goa influences, im quite happy the way it is... just wanted your opinion

Hey mate,
nice introduction. The beat is really great!
Acidline starting @ 0:45 is not really my taste. It sounds too hollow in a way... you could try to use another waveform, maybe another synth... and then try to apply some FX to it.
Gotta mention it again... the percussions are really great, very detailed and interesting, they dont get boring at all. The minimal melody in the background isnt bad either.
The only real weak point of the track is the acidline - you should also try to alter the patterns and make the melody change, maybe to make it a better groove together with the percussion.

Hi bidor.
At intro your kick is really powerfull but when the whole beat is palying is weak....at 1:42 is ok again...:conf: ...strange :D
Actually I was expecting something completely different from what I'm listening.I can't find any goa influences inside.Think is more experimental than dark.Something like big intro.Don't like the note that play at high octaves.Too repetitive.
The style of the track is something like soundtrack.

Not too shabby Mr. Rinster. I do not enjoy your low quality stream-age, or the pop at the beginning of the track.
But musically. Your song isn't too shabby. A lot of times people make "dark" tracks that mainly are dark just because they don't have much, if any melodic elements. (Granted I LOVE that stuff, but it's definately a small doses thing, I can't listen to a lot of it).
This piece on the other hand yield's itself some darkness, without throwing out melodic elements.
Since the audio compression is so horrible I won't be able to give you technical advice on your track. But it's pretty cool otherwise.
You know what might be cool for this track? Instead of lots of breaks, and then going back into the 4/4 kick. Just make this a dark, acidy breaks track. Give some good boom tisk boom boom tisk rinster!

thanks mate really liked your review!:) melody changing has always been a problem for me, coz it takes me ages to consider what kind op type melody fits with the track.. the minimal melody at the background i found kinda cool :) glad you liked it...

there are very minimal goa influences in the track.. try and find them :p like i said very minimal. Be patient?? i dont understand please elaborate.. thanks for the review though:)

Very retro feeling on the intro, it feels like the electro stuff you began to hear on the first half of the 80's, really nice touch at 1:15, I am avoiding to comment about mixdown cuze I am using Pc Speakers.
In overall, is a nice tune, but it sounds a bit amateur, not really amateur, I mean, it feels naive, but it has a nice and fun electro vibe.
Keep it up bidor ;).

LOL. Naw. It was good, not just shabby, what I was complaining about the AUDIO compression of the streaming file. That was poopy. So I couldn't give you a fair assesment on overall sonic quality.

Yea I've decided not to swear as much. So I'm replaceing words like "" with "poopy" and "" with "booby-doo"

swearing is no good, although i hear it everyday and im used to it already.. poopy and booby-doo are a good alternative though:wtf: :p |

The bass in the intro is really quiet.
I like the percs in the intro.
I'm not a big fan of the hesitant way you bring in the kick.
You need to keep the beat in here for longer. It's hard to get in the groove of the song when the groove drops out every 30 seconds.
The acid line seemed to get quieter in that last section. |
