Rewiring Ableton 5 with Acid Pro 5

Hey everyone. I'm just trying to rewire Acid pro 5, but for some reason I get a distorted sound. Live 5 is my master and Acid is my slave. I have looked at the user manual and have it all setup correctly (I'm pretty sure), but all I get is this really distorted sound whenever I playback stuff in Acid Pro. I can't even hear my samples if they sound well. All I'm looking to use it for is to create grooves. Nothing else really. Any clues? I'll post a sample later if you want to hear.

Well,i dont know, BUT when i rewire or have many vsts running, my sound card sometimes do that to me.

So you could try this out.

1) Start up Ableton and your project.

2) Rewire Acid Pro.

3) Play and see so that u got the signal, and see so that the sound doesnt clip.

4) And now, if the sound is still distorted (makes that "cracking" sound)
Go to preferences under the opion menu, go to Audio and Audio Device, select No Device, and then change back again, click the Test tone and so that the sound is clear.

5) If it is clear, click ok and play.

6) If this doesnt work, go back to the Audio Device menu, click on the Hardware Setup and change the Latency a bit, and try again.

7) If u have a external sound card as i have, it often works after i have shut down Live, restart my sound card and then start up live again.

Try this, it may help, if not i dont know!

Good Luck
