| If your using Waves Side Chainer Compressor ( Waves SC1 Comp ), there's a Eq Section at the bottom of the plugin that allows you to easily set the freq to be ducked. |

I have lost track at how many threads there are about side-chaining in cubase/nuendo.
Just do a search man. There's DEFINATELY something. I am so sick of this question (don't take it personally) that I am about this close...

...to writing the DEFINATIVE tutorial on side-chaining in Cubase including multiple ways of doing it too, and even screen shots.
Anyway. USE SEARCH.

| Why make it so complicated? Just copy your lead pattern to a new channel and EQ that one. Then only play that one with the bass... Why do we have to make things so complex. And don't say that somehow the side-chain would do a better job. Your ears are the master of good music. Use them. |

Automated ducking is ultimately your best friend and will allow for super, super thick and driving semi-cluttered tracks to sound dynamic and full. |

| I did post something similar a way back, about a method for multiband sidechaining, but it was for FL. |
