Review: Richie Hawtin at TiL

Simply amazing. I honestly don't think there was any bad parts of any of the sets, right from when I got there till I left. Both openers were great, although I got no idea which opener played first, and which played second :|. It wasn't till Richie came on that it really went nuts.
As soon as Richie went on, the club went nuts. The dancefloor got packed, and everyone was just movin to some crazy minimal techno. It was dark, dirty, chuggy. Simply awesome. I had to leave around 4, because I start work today at 9am.
Great seeing some new and familiar faces there, as usual. |

i went to TIL as well.. ran into billche, cribby, highroller, and sean cassidy nice meetin ya!
Partied with a friend of mine who hasnt been out in a while.. I danced like mad b4 I had to leave bc I had to work today.. :(... oh well.. but the djs before Hawtin were ill... so good... dirty dark house...... n minimal tech.. so good... :)...
i heard that dj before hawtin was either villallobos or pierce? |

| Great night. Music was awesome. Hawtin did his thing and everyone was grooving. For the first time, I noticed there were wayyyyyy too many dudes out. Not typical of TiL but still a great night overall. |

marc houle was on b4 hawtin and b4 him it was troy pierce! magda came on after hawtin I guess!
of all of the DJS i heard last night I have to say I liked Troy Pierce's set the most! He was rocking out some really cool funky-electronic-minimal sorta stuff! pure Circo Loco / DC-10 music!

Marc Houle played some alright stuff too as did Hawtin. Though at times Hawtin's sound was a little too ploddy + linear for me! *shrugs*

| Holy ...I came to see Magda, and she totally blew Hawtin out of the water. You can always count on her to play minimal stuff with earth-shattering bass lines. I requested for her to play her tune called '48 Hour Crack in Your Bass' the best mnml tune EVER and the bass in it makes 'Murder Was The Bass' look like child's play. I left at 5:30 so I'm not sure if she played it or not :/ Full Review soon...I LOVE MNML TECHNO. |

i had techno in my booties!
OMG - Amazing set by Richie Hawtin - and the Dj that played b4 him - I didn't really see who it was - all i know it was a guy - started off the night wikkidly! Magda played after hawtin at about 10 to 5am, train-wrecked the needle for a moment. I HAD to leave,not becasue of her, but because my bed was calling me! The Music completely changed - not for the worse - but i wasn't feeling it -nor my feet afterwards! Some biatch stepped on my pinky toe, which lead me to belive that I sprained my ankle for a while, but the pain subsided, the hawtin beatz cured my foot and made me dance on it for another hour.
All the track were great! Flowed like a train right on track! Choo-choo!:tongue2 saw lots of peeps I knew. . . some old faces that I thought was wonderful to see!!! And how many shots& brews&buds! OHH dear!!! thank god they allow smoking! but my voice is a lil' harsh...
Now I am at work! I look great (surprisingly) and I will be doing this all over again tonight and tomorrow! AHHHHHHHHHH |
