One of the best part-time jobs I had (didn't pay for though) was working as a part-time bank teller. If you walk your resume around to the bank branches in your area, you should be good (they're always looking for young, attractive people as the "front-line" marketing rule applies). |

I had considered that.
I think what people *cough*Mr.Mystery*cough* are missing here is that I said I will most likely stay on at my current job...it's just not going to be as cushy as it used to be (and that sucks). So if I decide I don't like that after a week..then I'm going to look for something else.
There's a salon RIGHT down the street from me - not even a 2 minute walk. I'm hoping they need someone to answer phones and clean up, do their lackie work or whatever...because they aren't open Mondays and that's exactly what I want. Plus it's close to home, so I'll always be near in case my mom has an emergency. |

its hard to get work done at home. too many distractions. thats why i work best at nite no one around. sales is suckage too, i refuse to do that type of work. i feel for you jenny.

Oh and for the record, I don't expect anything to come to me without effort.
I know VERY well what real life is, and I have never relied on anything or anybody to get me where I am. My father died when I was 14, and I lived with my older sister for two years after that...supporting ourselves and going to school. I've never had mommy or daddy to carry me ANYWHERE in life.
Why do I only work part time?? Because my mother is extremely ill and I'm her main care provider. I also go to school, for nursing.
So yeah, I think I've earned the right to do whatever I damn well want with my free time...and it's not worth the few extra dollars for me to bust my ass at a ty job I don't like. I'm smart enough to take advantage of whatever free time I have, because once I'm done school...my whole life will be devoted to other people.
