don't understand what he's doing at the world cup, doens't England have any better subs than Crouch to fill in for Owen and Rooney? |

Don't think he is a sub in the first game, erm no?
And I can see him starting a couple of games myself atleast, only the fact that Owen has a longer track record and is proved to be a good player that he is one that will start many matches.
When crouch really proves himself I see him being in the A team. |

No, they don't have anyone better. Maybe Defoe but he's not picked for the squad. Besides, Crouch is actually pretty good, and has some unique physical charateristics - handy for particular moments in a competition. |

I know, because Rooney isn't ready for the first match(es), but that wasn't my question. My question was if England doesn't have anyone better to fill in for Rooney or Owen (in this cas Rooney)?
England must have some other forwards, who weren't selected, that could have an important roll as sub (better than crouch), don't they? And what about Walcott? Is he up for it? |

It could be a problem but when ur two central midfielders have scored 44 odd between them this season which most teams would be more than happy with their strikers doing then i wouldnt worry too much |
