holy halliwell and darude impressed the out of me. halliwell was very housey and darude was very proggy. he didn't play sandstorm but he did take the sandstorm backbeat and layer it over other tracks, a lot like sasha's wavy gravy on maida vale... i only heard the last 30 min of darude but he was pounding out hardcore acid, tech trance with killer basslines. halliwell was very zabielish last night with the live remixing and energy level. both halliwell and darude are top notch characters too
kristina sky and menno de jong showed up too and menno and eddie were introduced for the first time, menno had never heard of eddie halliwell before last night :wtf: |

Right now, I'd say Nick Warren, Steve Porter, and Desyn Masiello. All-time, I have to stick with Sasha and Danny Howells.
Though I saw Paolo Mojo live a while back and it was amazing -- I had never heard of him at that point either! I think Zabiela would be fun to see in a club too. |

zabiela is the funnest to watch period, especially if the booth is set up low/floor height...

Lee Burridge and Danny Howells.
Everyone else is just a second-rate DJ, except Sasha and Digweed; but Howells and Burridge are the biggest influences on my own musical tastes.
Other DJ's deserving a mention include Demi, Desyn Masiello, Nic Fanciulli and James Zabiela.

No, there are only electroish djs here (I saw Dominik Eulberg, Trentemoller, Miss Kittin, etc.) but I really dig their livesets. Btw I forgot to mention Max Graham, I saw him live that was excellent. |
