you may hate gays because they are different...but do you also hate short people if you're tall? people who like house when you like trance?

I'm not saying it's rational, many aspects of our psyche are irrarional, it's just the way people behave on a grand scale.

Your personal opinion doesn't matter as much in this situation as does the fact of what is perceived to be "the norm" by the population. If being tall was "the norm", short people would be discriminated against. However, over time, the new differences get accepted by the general population. If being short was something new, then short people would be hated as much as gays. |
