| here's my take: most people start off listening to just trance, then with some their tastes evolve to more sophisticated beats a la prog, electro, breaks & house, then when you go back to (mainstream) trance, most of it seems too formulaic and 2-dimensional... and thus you have all the trance haters in music discussion pissing all over trance threads because they think they are above the whole genre now. |

i agree :) but i don't see it as any lesser than house or prog, there's a lot of crap trance today, but there are still aces in the deck :) |

| i don't like trance. well, i used to like some of the stuff from 5-6 years ago. but i've evolved into house, and don't listen to any trance anymore. |
