i meant was/were in a simpler sense, not the 'if i were'. is that what you mean? |

Yeah, I didn't know there was more confusion related to this... I know people tend to say "if I was you" rather than "if I were you", so there seems to be a shift. What else do people usually mix up? |

'if i was' and 'if i were' can both be used.
i cant stand when people use was and were the wrong way. for example the dogs was there, etc. |

by saying that, you are implying that you do actually care some what. the correct phrase is "i couldn't care less", meaning you really care the least amount possible already.
