| Me and my buddy got there @ 1am, didn't get in till 3:45am. We had presale tickets, but still got ed in the line. Got in to catch the last half hour of Faarsheeds set (can someone ID the mix of the last song he dropped which was Gabriel & Dresden-Tracking Treasure Down?). I was still pissed about waiting in line for almost 3 hours, but Tiesto made it all go away, he shut that place down! My fav was when he dropped Helsinki Scorchin', EPIC!!! |

This was a awesome event. Tiesto was fantastic, mixing could have been better, but I am sure he had been going for a long time at that point after Hard Rock.
Faarsheed played a great closing set and was dancing with the crowd and stuff, a whole lot of fun.
Prince had a CD release party that went way late, till like 2:40am.. This is the reason for the long wait in line. After clearing Prince's stage and setting up for Tiesto, it was after 3am when they opened the doors.
The Club did what they could to expedite entry, the big problem was you have over a 1000 people all doing whatever they can to get in, so those who were the most committed got in first, plain and simple. Money always helps on in these situations. But if you had a presale and you got over to the right line, the wait was not bad at all once they started letting people in. They totally did not screw the people who bought tickets. That line was just really hard to get over to, because of the mob of people trying to get it.
By the way, if you don't want to deal with prostitution, DON'T GO TO LAS VEGAS, Period! Easy as that.
Las Vegas is running on a whole different set of rules and this is just something you can either complain about and get mad and frustrated, which by the way is so much fun! Not.. or you accept it the way it is and play the game by those rules, easy as that.
The sound in Empire was fantastic, thanks to the Funktion-One Setup, and Adam who handles all the sound over there. They are actually planning to upgrade the system again, addin some more Funktion-One's.
All in all a really awesome trip, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Sad on 2 fronts:
1) Couldn't get laid in Vegas
2) Was surprised that there was a great deal of hookers in LV compared to other cities.
Yo, Rob, this might come as a surprise to you but there is also a lot of gambling there too (as compared w/ other cities). |

Indeed! I don't normally pay too much attention to sound quality, but this had to be the best I've ever heard in a club (or maybe it was just the contrast with Ruby Skye the night before  ). The lights were really good too. |
