i know that this is'nt the site to be asking this question, but i have exhausted all my other resources
does anybody know where i can find an internet connection manager which times i-net usage and disconnects automatically?
if anybody can give me a name of a program or download location i'd be very gratefull |

It is annoying coz i know they exist, i think i have one on a cd somehwere, just search for an internet manager www.alltheweb.com
But what do you wanna know? When to cut you off, after a certain time, what? |

i need to disconnect after every hour of net usage and re-connect in order to not get charged a bill.
i have a load of sets queued on audiogalaxy , and want to still download without being charged while i sleep or am out on weekends. |

Humm, well i am not sure about that one, how you would connect and re connect, i take it you dc every 2 hours anyway, i use gozilla to reconnect, setup a large file downloading on gozilla at 0.1k a sec, then setup ag, gozilla reconnects for me, and ag keeps downloading, woohoo
But your problem is a bit tricky, i would advise getting on freeserve, or bt anytime, they r good services, and i have to say i am impressed with bts serive :) |

| hmmmm...neat trick/ i think that partially solves the problem, but why do u assume i get dc every two hrs? is that a general feature with bt or freeserve or on the freeserve hometime package? |

| most of the 24/7 free isp's will have a d/c time.. usually 2 hours. this is to make sure theres always room for someone to connect and helps let the server deal with more users. |

Yeah it is a neat trick :)
Oh and AOL is the only 24/7 isp that doesnt disconnect you :)
But if i find an internet manager i will let you know :) |
