| Watched this with the gf last night. If anything, it was laughable. It was such a plain...Canadian...version. Too bad the girl with the most character got voted off first. Seems fashion is nothing but the exploitation of stereotypes and insecurities. And as for the girls, , THIS is whom they chose to be representative of Canada. I see hotter girls on the damn TTC bus on a daily basis. Two or three were pretty good though. |

Agreed, I see tons of beautiful women downtown, not as good as Montreal but good enough...wait a a sec come to think of it...how come there was no Quebecois femmes in there with sexy french accents?
ps Syvlie has a unmodelike hippy-esque laid back 'tude but IMO had the best pics. (BTW, I'd hit it) |

Yeah she definitely had the best pic.
Really is surprising that there were no Quebecois women. |

| haha yeah this show made me die of laughter... not bc it was funnny.. but bc it was sooo sad.. really i cant believe they chose some of those girls to be in it.. and the judges MEH... the only cool one is the guy who was on ANTM as well hes canadian... Jeannie Becker is a long time fashion guru so I suppose shes fine with me... but that chick at the end.. WTH were they thinking?!?!... and some of those girls are just HIDEOUS.. the one they kicked off was cool.. but had no manners..truthfully only like 2 out of that entire crew should be on there..the others see u later... it is true.. there are so many more beautiful women on the street... I can even hand pick a few people I know that would be perfect for this show and even make it better... |

I think the problem that there is no uber quality super model hotness is that they need to they need people who can be good entertainment on television first.
Maybe all the really decent girls who applied had really blank personalities.
...or maybe all of them had blank personalities, and all super hot, chock full of personality are not attention whorish to be on television and don't need a reality tv show to work for Sutherland Models. |

| i've said it before, i'll say it again: the REAL models do not need to go on reality tv to get contracts. they get scouted by people who actually know what makes a good model. that is why you're stuck with sub-par wannabe girls on these shows. |

That, and there's a possibility that not the prettiest women auditioned for this show. As it looks from our posts, Canadian versions of these shows are NOT up to par on what they could be. And I agree with everyone, there are much prettier girls out there than the ones on this show.
That being said, MY favourite is Heather, the girl that won the runway challenge. I think if she had a little bit more training, she could take amazing photos. PLUS SHE'S FROM BLENHEIM which is only 20 minutes outside my hometown.
IMO, Sisi had the best catwalk, but she is TOTALLY lacking in everything else. I don't understand why she's there, actually.
AND I CAN'T STAND THE BLACK WOMEN! No offence to anyone anywhere at any time, but man... they are NOT the on this show.
My winners: Dawn, Heather, Tenika (sp?), even tho she's mean (they said she had the best body, dimensions wise, to work with) |
