Structure Like Crystal Method

| Im an aspiring techno artist wit a drum machine, acid express, bitPM, yamaha DJXII, fruityloops platinum, i want to strive for the sound and structure of crystal method, can someone help or give suggestions how to achieve a certain beat, i dont know anything about music structure, it just seems that crystal method always gets it right |

Take enough amphetamines that you begin to see vaporous trails lifting off of things in your room, then sit down in front of your pc for 76 hours straight and tweak your drums until your brain explodes.
Bam, TCM sound.

I'm guessing since you keep metioning structure, you are having trouble making various breakbeats and drum lines than are not a standard trance 4 to the floor.
fruityloops is great for learning to write drumloops because of the step sequencer.. you can either just experiment till you find things that work, or my personal favourite.. is go down to the local bookstore.. or libary.. and get a "basic" book on drumming. learn the basic concepts.. and you will be suprised how easy you will be able to make beats that have the structure of method, Prodigy BT ect..
Randomly trying different things on the fruity step is fine.. alot of people have done it.. it just takes a while to find things and its easy to get frustrated and uncreative..
trust me and take the effort to do a bit of theroy and you will be much better for it. |

| Ok thanks, yea see my sounds seems to go all over the place they dont have any sort of form either, i mean yea TCM is all over but they do it so stylish that its not like annoying to listen to but ill try that thanks |
