Hey, i just need a short sample(maybe a minute)or the whole trance song if you can. I just want to study the track, how it is made, what kind of effects are included and other .
Im kinda stuck with the bassline now and i just need more practice with reason.
Thanks
you can do it via email or upload it to a site.

Google Reason 3.0... it should direct you to the Propellerheads website.
Then, you can navigate the sight to the demo songs.
Simple, huh. |

Sweet. How long did it take you to make it? How long did it take you to make a song when you started with reason?
Im starting out, and im basically going in blind. I see that you use alot of combinators..
Man...im kinda getting frustrated. |

i know being frustrated in a common thing for new commers but in all honesty it aint gonna get you nowhere.
just keep at it, and have fun!
you do know that you never stop learning in production too and alot of it is very technical so just now make music fun and reason makes music fun.;) |

How to produce trance in Reason? Just like you would produce using other software and/or instruments. :)
Listening to Reason demo songs won't get you much further since most professional Reason users publish their songs on cd/vinyl, not as data files on the web. ;)
Listen to great music, get inspired and try harder. That's my best advice. :tongue2 |

Audioland = frustration. Get used to it.
Disks will crash, files will corrupt, gear will smoke, monitors with fizzle, cds will break, cables will futz, money will dissapear, clients will be late, clients won't pay, girlfriends will dump you, people will make fun of you because your music "sucks."
And that's a very short list.
BUT WE WHO ARE OBSESSED GO FORTH ANYWAY! If getting frustrated is going to stop you, just keep telling yourself "It's a hobby and it's for the most part, supposed to be fun."
BAHHHHHH! |

This track only took less than a week to make. I usually spend more time on each track, but I just didn't feel anything for it.
I did ALOT of patch creation and experimenting with sounds before I started to produce. You should really enjoy the learning process.
Here are some fun things I like to do as practice:
- Recreate synths from your favorite songs
- Recreate melodies from your favorite songs
- Maybe even do some remixes if you're not feeling very creative.
While these things don't help that much with creativity, they did make it easier for me to create melodies, harmonies and to make better synth patches. |
