i've had lots of fillings (due to a floride deficiency)...don't worry about it, you've felt MUCH worst i'm sure. if little kids can do it, it's a cakewalk. you'll feel a little bit of discomfort when they do the shot of novicane (like a small pinch)...then everything'll be numb and you'll be drooling on yourself and ...and then the drill (scariest part), you shouldn't feel anything except the vibration of it in your skull...lol that sounds bad, but it's not...and if u do feel ANYTHING, tell your dentist and he'll give u more novicane and your face will be numb for the rest of the day... it's not bad.
just think about back in the day when they didn't even have novicane. :nervous: |

i dont mind going to the dentist- i love the sweet air.
i have lots of dental work done and i guess i am just used to it and have a high threshhold for pain. |

It's not just the pain, it's the thought of having to take more care with my teeth (i.e. they being more fragile). |

| I just got a filling yesterday and a root canal/crown a month ago. I have a phobia of the dentist but it wasnt as bad as I thought. Even the shot was easy...uncomfortable but easy. Once your numb its easy. Just bring your MP3 player...turn it up and close your eyes. |

I am sure you can. You are probably supposed to eat ice or similar stuff after you go to a dentist.
Thats the only part I used to like about going to a dentist when I was a kid and had cavities. The fact that the dentist recommends eating cold stuff like ice creams and stuff after he drilled the crap out of my teeth :nervous:
