JUNE 29- JULY 5, 2006
Salem, MO
CAMP ZOE

The 1st Annual
Modern Arts Festival:
Unity!
www.amaf.us

Six days and five nights of Art, Music, and Dance. Unlike any other gathering before it, we will combine elements previously thought could only be separate. We have a huge 330+ acre campground, with swimming and showers, making this thee most comfortable choice.
Click the CAMP ZOE link. Their web site explains how beautiful their campgrounds are compared to other shake and bake venues. The stages are on luscious green grass not gravel, making dancing fun (and you won't have rocks in your shoes, nor will your feet ache.) The camping areas are on flat ground (more accessible to the handicapped), no huge hills. Shaded areas for those who are sun shy. Huge open spaces for fun activities. No other venue in Missouri offers these options.
The campsite is so vast, that their are plenty of places to camp that will not be next to a "renegade stage". We only have two massive professional mobile concert stages. We carefully planned our music to begin after sundown, and end at sunrise. The absence of sound will compliment its presence. We believe that planning a defector quiet time will allow us all to rest, and lead us to anticipate the next full day of pre-planned events.

Again we lead by example. Our technical designs for our sound and lighting are beyond what has been done, or what others are willing to do. Others copy us (remember NYE06?), but there can only be one. We have been told it's overkill. It's not. We think of it as the icing...

Our site is modest, clean, and simple. We decided to let the artists speak for themselves. Their mixes can be heard navigating their own sites. Again we connect you directly to the source. If you don't like the music, don't come. If you do, maybe you want to broker tickets? Email Solange at ModernArtsFestival.org She will explain our e-commerce server, and how YOU can help make this the largest festival in the Midwest.

As of May 31st, we have pre-sold close to 300 tickets. By allowing people to share in our profits, we have created a company that is dependent on those who believe in what we are doing together. No other organization in America offers this. We believe in the people, and they believe in us.

Our modest $50 entrance fee (ONLY $30 IN ADVANCE FOR 5 DAYS! When you use code "MEDICINAL GROOVE") is the lowest priced festival ticket in the nation per day, while delivering the most wonderful artists. It works out to $10 a day for the most beautiful production ever conceived. Over 60 artists working in tandem assures you that your money will be well spent.

Two gallery spaces will showcase the finest modern artists we could find. Two artists per gallery per day, making for twelve artists on display. During the day, avant-guard movies on a huge covered projected screen. Live art created in real time depending on the audience feedback.

Two stages with 20,000 watt sound systems ensure clarity, not distortion. An additional 15K sound rig just for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday has been added due to high pre-sale ticket volume. Both have intelligent lighting programmed by Micheal Z., a ten year veteran who has been trusted with the Emmy Awards 3 years running. He resume is too long to list, but be sure there is no greater artist available for this event.

If you have an unsigned film you would like us to screen, email [email protected][/email]

All approved entries will show between 6-9pm in gallery YUME.

Additional stage being casted, ALL musicians send your demo links to solange at moderartsfestival dot org for consideration. Bands, spoken word, kung fu rappers, whatever is current artful love!

The entire event will be recorded by a professional film crew, and by amateurs as well. The event will be released public domain minus copyrighted material, via bit torrent. Each day will be a separate DVD image burnable with Toast or Nero.

Planned daytime activities by our activity planner including but not limited to: The world's largest game of tag, the hacky sack championship, get-it-in-the-hole, dudgespunge, french fries, tug-of-peace, and safety, to name just a few. Our open air space makes this possible.

So much more, but thats TBA.

J Break and Wutam were added! Live performance by two of the most requested live performance acts in the U.S. If you like breaks, you'll love J Break and Wutam.

We just added HYDROID from Israel! YAY! We landed him here for his first ever US appearance! He has two releases on Armin Van Buuren's Armada label because he writes beautiful music. He's also opening for Cosmic Gate, a slot well earned. Many cheers to all the young up and coming stars here with us at our festival!!!

Till then,
PEACE!
