you suck. i had to give up my grill when i moved into this stupid apartment.
the first thing i'm doing when i get to my station in louisiana after i find a place to live is buy another grill, wash my car in the driveway, and drink beer. all at the same time.
mmmmm.....i'm hungry now
ps i can't watch food tv because movers took my tv :( |

damn that sucks.
by the way, i just got some little crappy charcoal one for $15 until i can afford the $150 webber gas one that i've had my eye on.
i'm not used to cooking with charcoal. when do i put the burgers on? when the fire is still going full blast? or do i wait till it burns out and the coals are just hot? i want my burgers medium rare... |

Wait until the fire dies down and the coals turn a white color. You will probably have to fan the coals once the start up fire dies down. |

charcoal is the best to cook with. did you make a pyramid w/ the coals? that's the best way to keep the heat in.
you'll want to put the burgers on when the coals get a nice grayish tint to them, and it's beat red in the center.
as far as cooking, it's the same as a gas - just flip 'em when they start to get a little bubbly on top. |

oh man this reminds me of my summer 2004 when I had just gotten cable again after over a year without it.
Turn on foodnetwork and the programs were nutssssssssss
I was addicted to that channel and was always cooking crazy stuff ( at least trying ) cause of the ideas it gave. |

well the burgers came out awesome and i will never cook corn on the cob any other way. it was awesome! i rubbed down each corn with butter and sprinkled salt, pepper and sugar on them and they were so yummy!
tonight, i'm gonna throw these huge lean pork chops on there. they're like 2 inches thick. i'll probably just coat them in olive oil and rub some kosher salt, pepper and fresh rosemary on them and throw em on the grill. oh yea and i bought some leeks too. i didn't know what they were, i figured they were in the onion family. lol i always see them being prepared on the foodnetwork channel so i bought some. found a couple of recipes for them on the grill too.
w00t!
i <3 grilling! |
