[trance] Moisture & Garden - Splendor (Cosmic Tracer Remix)
View this Thread in Original format

Finished another remix this morning..
Dunno how to describe the track really, it's a bit in the same vein as the Voices from the Inside Remix I posted here a while back and the track that was featured in the fourth Tranceaddict's Unite (Le Royaume des Cieux). Trance with a funky touch, just check it out for yourself.

The original can be found HERE, although I noticed the link is down at the moment.

Play loud ;)

listening (loud)

nice firm kick, the bassline is ace.. synths and stuff works nice.. although i tend to prefer more driving percussions and more in your face sounds.. the pads are epic and nice, and i like the way you go back to the kick, bass and percussions after the breaks..

+
yummy bassline
nice overall sound
good compression
pro sounding
good synth work

-
percussions could be fuller
a little messy arrangement
could have been longer

The kick sounds ugly at the start, maybe taste issues, maybe it IS ugly ;)
Sweet bassline fo sho. Maybe try to find an addition to it to make it a little fatter or more edgy with some more high end.
Nice little vocal stab.
This string part doesnt really fit the track, I like the pitch up tho.
Some freaky techy edits here and there would really finish the track.

really enjoying this! the song, in whole, is very natural and fluid. high quality. the breakdown is gorgeous. too bad the original is down :(
anywho, outstanding work :)

I like the techy vibe to this.
Unsure about the kick in the beggining, but it seems to fit nice.
Bassline is great!

Breakdown is good. The pitching is really cool, very unexpected turn there, but it sounds very good.

Too bad the original is down, really wanted to hear it :(

Really liking it so far. I think the percs could be more in your face instead of so far back. The bass is nice as everyone else says, but I think a little distortion could fatten it up more. Great techy sounds in here. OOOOOOOOOO really like this string part heh. Really epic sounding as someone else said. I almost feel right now there should be this really strong arp going through right now. Awesome feelings right now. Damn I was hoping for something more and a really long breakdown. That was definitely a downer for me :( I don't think that string part fits too well unless you add another synth part or something to it afterwards. Nice techy effects. Another epic string breakdown!??!?! Will it come this time?!? *waits patiently for epic breakdown* Nooooo!!!! It didn't come again...It just goes back to that same part? No new lead or anything? Hmmmmm...now it's ended? Uhhh...alright. Techy trance with house feel to it and then epic trance and then back to techy trance? Hmmm I don't think it all fits well. The structure is definitely odd imo. Could use some different additions to it.

Rating - 7/10

That was the point actually.

The original is more traditional in that area.
Maybe you could pm the thread starter (Vishnu) if you're interested in hearing the original version.

Thanks for listening, everyone :)

The Valleys are really beautiful, sounds awesome. :)

Writing as I listen..

Love the beginning!!! Great opening and intro into the high hats! Great buildup! Very professional sounding. Nice break. I can't find one thing wrong with this. I would love to add this to my list of songs. Two breaks? That is nice! I wish I could tell you times, but QuickTime has taken over my MP3 playing within the browser - I'll have to fix that...

Keep up the good work!!
