I loved the original, absolutely loved the melody so I couldn't help myself: I had to remix it!

I'm considering changing the bassline, as side-chained bass seems to have been beaten to death already. I just wanted to see what you guys thought before I did that.

Comments/Crits are very welcome :)

Hi There! :), i will have to go to school now, but i take some time to listen to this one, i like it very much, has really a lovely mellowdy, sounds very very good. I like that kind of basslines, it needs a bit of work tho. the synths are very cool, soft and dreamy, seems very good produced :) Well i have to go now xD , keep it up

Best Wishes

love the pulsing pad in the background, the climax of the build up is great too. great sound.. I guess side-chaining the bassline would make it a bit more clubby, but I like it just how it is.

hmm... the bassline IS sidechained, that's why it pulses with the pads..

thanks for comments, would like a few more opinions before i close the thread to work on it a bit more

Never heard about the original but this sample sounds verry verry nice, looking forward to hear the full version. The bassline fits in verry well

I agree, I like the bassline a lot. Such a great track. I like the hats and all the synth mellody.

Keep it up.

Peace...

nice track, that string part in the break was something unique, really good :)

Got some nice energy too, and i like those growly low synths alot :D bass and synths are lush.

not my favorite style but very good job !

do you think replacing the bassline isn't necessary? doesn't sound cliche to you?

seems like too many ppl have done that kinda style (mcprog)

i was leaning on changing it but didn't hear too many of you all complaining about it... hmmm

I would probably replace it, not because I think it's cliche, but because I prefer rolling basslines :wtf:

Subtle
listening:

first thing that strikes me is the bass.. typically Schulz or whatever, but its a bit muddier and unclear.. (i would maybe consider changing the bass on this one)

percussions are nice and driving..

breakdown: it sounds alright, not feeling the pads all that much.. when everything comes together it is keeping the energy and drive, but the bass is very dominant.. maybe i notice cause u mentioned it yourself? :p doesnt really sound that bad though..

90% on my pro-sound scale
