So fellow COR isomniacs, I come to you with a question:
After 4 hours of unsuccesfully trying to fall asleep, I have decided not to go to sleep for fear of not waking up in time for my final that starts in 3 and a half hours.
My question is, what can I do to help maintian alertness and energy when my final starts? I live on campus, no campus stores/resturaunts open before my final, my car doesn't start, and the only thing that might help in the fridge is Orange juice and Cocacola. I'm screwed, aren't I?
Hopefully I can get a few helpful replies before my final. Thanks. |

Congrats on the baby, and I am sure in a year or two the night crying will die done. Lol.
But's not staying awake now that is hard, but during the final. I am quite chipper right now, I can only hope I shall be in 3 hours. |

My alarm clock is about a foot from my head and sometimes does not wake me up. That is not enough assurance for me.
It seems the consesus is still that I am screwed. =( |

Cut down the parties, junk food and do more exercise during the day when you have time.
And if you can, eat a bit more healthily and drink lots of water. Simple things always work. I know it sounds like a total change in lifestyle, but if you can do this just for your finals, then there's no harm.

Well considering that my final is in 2 and a half hours this advice, while probably good, is quite late and does not help me at all. |

Ah, ok well, in last minute things like this, I just go for Red Bull and anything heavy in caffeine. Not the best alternative, but I guess you've no choice! :p
Good luck anyhow! ;) |
