What's your experience with Superwave VSTi's for supersaw sounds?!..

Hi,

Just wondering, but for superstring sounds, nobody here has tried using any of the Superwave VSTi's like the free P8, or better: Professional, Pro Trance or Performer?!

Aren't those the most obvious VSTi's to use to emulate the JP8000 supersaw?

Which of those did you try and what are your experiences.. did you like them or not.. strange that these synths aren't mentioned alot when talking supersaw sounds.. weren't they made for those sounds?..

don't ever use this VSTis. they are so horrible.. it's the typical synthedit sound and that's just nowhere near a jp-8080 supersaw.

Well, they may not sound much like a JP, but I wouldn't say that they're horrible, they're good synths for what they are, there are better out there, I know, but also alot of worse ones.

i likem alot.. i use the performer in almost any track..

Yes but not for supersaw sounds I suppose? I have tried in the past, I couldnt get a decent supersaw out of it, perhaps it's just my limited synth programming skills.

i use it for easy leads, and yeah i do use a supersaw, but not a very powerful one, cause thats pretty hard.

Well we can expect one more synth form superwave soon however that will be the last one as he's quitting due to warez and the fact theres no money in it anymore.

I really like superwave trance pro for basic leads.
KilldaDJ
v station for my supersaw sounds

i get 3 of them running so they dont sound so thin

one for the highs and a mid pad and perhaps another one for mid lead (just to thicken it up)

i've tried with 2 of the synths u mentioned above. it's a decent synth if u'd ask me but it always gives me a headache when i couldn't make any useful sound out of it.

i've tried some other vsti's that can easily (ahem...) beat superwave. but i applaud superwave p8 for being freeware.

Rumor has it that the new and last superwave synth may be a software remake of the korg ms2000.

well, that's a fact if you look at the gui.

but i don't know how you guys think that the superwave has a decent sound. i don't even think that there are more than 10 decent sounding softsynths at all out there..

Ever since I tasted the JP-8080 I'll never touch the Superwave again.
