I am sad to see Paul leave the station as well. He is a great friend of mine. This is not our decision but Pauls. The reason for our shows and our company is to propel people into the main markets and provide a stepping stone for their careers. In no way would we want to keep anyone behind. We also however would not keep anyone on board while they are with a competitor, thats just basic business.
Paul chose to leave as he has a better offer and wants to expand his career. I wish him the best of luck and want to offer anyone a chance to listen to him on other stations.
As far as treating DJS muffin, we treat them better than any other station of this kind. There is no ample amount of money to pay everyone, and there certainly isn't enough marketing in the overnights to keep everyone on.
The internet isn't a one way track, we did it for 5 years, and have had many djs on board who have put in endless amounts of effort and energy but so have we.
We have also given them a platform to showcase their talents, and if it wasn't benificial on both ends , they wouldn't have done it.
The street goes both ways. We thank them and wish them all great luck.
The internet in todays world has too many shows, and we cannot compete or provide the level of service that many can. There are just too many channels.
I wish everyone the best of luck in trying these avenues, and when you have spent 5 years trying to make it happen, come back to this thread and give me your input.
If you do not wish to listen to our FM station, I hold no harsh feelings as we live in Canada and its a free country. |
im personally happy that there are now 2 choices of dance music on the radio .
even though i have affiliation with energy 105.1, i say long live both stations as we introduce dance music to those who may not have heard it before. I still flip back and forth between the two! |

we have decided to follow a strict house format except for
Armin Van b and Matt Darey,
These 2 will stay on for trance as they are world class shows.
The rest are live to airs, and house music formats.
I agree, I even flip around the stations. Its a win win for everyone |

I have had some great times at Club246, infact I could probablly consider them as some of the best times of my life. I did not get fired, axed, kicked off or whatever alse everyone posted on the various message boards. I was hired at a new job and my new contract requires that i can not do any on-air work for any other station in Toronto.
I am more than willing to lend Club246 a helping hand if needed.
Everyone of the 246 crew are good friends of mine and I will still be interacting with all of them on regular basis, my business life has nothing to do with my personal life. Don't be surpirsed to see me around at 246 live-to-airs and events as well.
Will Paradox continue? Yes it will continue, after all why would I want to end it 3 episodes shy of the 350th episode. The show will be moving to Toronto's newest radio station, Energy 105, although the final schedule has not been yet finalized I hope the show will end up on a Thursday night as to keep the Thursday night tradition going. Paradox is a show that has gone through many changes over the past 6.5 years on the air. This is just another change.
In the end I would like to thank everyone who has supported me since my first days on the radio. Everyone who ever tuned in to the show and nodded their head to the beat. Thank you the entire Club246 crew and Global Groove (back in the day) for giving me a chance on Toronto's legendary 100.7FM (one-double-oh-seven). Most importantly Thank YOU! for for everything you have ever done for Club246, Paradox and me.

Congratulations on the new job Paulie, it's good to know that there is no hard feelings between you and Club246. I will be sure to listen to the show on the new radio station it will take time to get used to the fact that you're no longer on on Thursday nights on one double Oh Seven.
