anyone know anything about their new line of mixers? Urei has that legendary 1620 with the awesomest sound quality, so i'm guessing their newer stuff should be as good, no?
they look interesting:
1603:
$799
1601:
$799 too :conf:
1601s:
looks exactly like the 1601 to me, but seems to have a couple extra buttons, probably FX, and its $949 :conf: :conf:
1605:
and i think for 7 channels, $1199 is a good price
1620LE:
re-design of the old 1620, at $1699, sounds reasonable
so, anyone used any? and can anyone explain the price differences?
opinions? ideas? discuss.
btw, pictures and prices taken from djmart.com

None of those new UREI mixers have ANYTHING in common with the old UREI we know and trust for great sound/built quality (except the 1620LE, which is supposed to be a good reasonable replica of the olf one). Soundcraft bought the name, and is now slapping it onto all sorts of DJ mixers.
Not that theres anything wrong with them....theyre OK gear....but just remember, dont expect anything super-fantastic like the old UREIs |
