I switched to WINAMP with the new iPod Plugin and what do you know?
I can actually connect to my pod now.
Every second time I tried to use iTunes it would not detect my Pod.
Yet the Pod was being detected by Windows as an External Drive as it should be!
Itunes probably works great on the MAC platform, for which it was designed. As for the Windows implementation its a bloated piece o' crap! |

This I dont really understand.
The player should not be modifying the sound at all, as it should just send the binary info to the sound card, and then the sound card turns it into an anolog signal.
I'll have to look into this a bit. |

I use amarok (on linux, KDE). It whips winamp's ass :P
Fetches your covers, tons of playlist features, sort by this sort by that.
And it handles very well large music collections 150GB+ :D |

However, iTunes is a lot easier to find tunes on if you have a large library with their search function. Sorry Cale, lol. |
