Free Heineken?? , that IS a dream come true. People will be walking out with tubs of it, just like the Katrina looter.

no yuris, see the difference between chicago and new orleans is that if that guy hadnt stolen the heineken it would be totally legal for him to walk around with open bottles of it, drinking them on the street. i cant tell you how many times ive tried to leave a chicago club/bar with drink in hand, forgetting that im not in new orleans. lol

I have a great Bourbon St. story I'll have to tell you sometime involving riding in an ambulance with some drunk guy who broke his nose on the curb after we woke him up to take pics with tourists and cracked out kids forcing us to search for the "voodoo master" until we woke up in a conference room. Oh Mardi Gras!

Meanwhile comp Heineken & James Lauer sets are always a great combo. Will definitely try to make it for this. Gonna make it to Smartbar on Thursday the 22nd for sure.

if they would let me walk around the street with booze, i'd never make it to my 26th birthday

Sounds like we should have our own MWTA Bourbon St. story thread... ;)

Mine oddly enough involves lots of Heineken, witnessing one of my best friends his ex on a balcony three feet from me, and a monkey. (Seriously.)

:clown:

by the way rob, i'm gonna need that monkey back.

Fine, but fair warning, he's not the same monkey you once knew.

mojo, what have they done to you!?

i lived there for 21 years, i have stories that make the monkey one sound like a sunday at church. and no you dont really need to be 21 to drink or do anything really in new orleans, you just have to be able to reach the bar.

I don't doubt that one bit - But the details on my story were sparse, and though I'm sure I can't match wits with someone who's lived there, I'd be willing to bet if you heard the rest of the story there's no chance you'd compare it to a Sunday at Church... :haha:

how about a sunday morning in the above ground cemetarys after a very very very long night of 25 cent evan williams shots at the abbey (weird goth bar in the lower french quarter)

i wont say anymore, but ive clearly owned this argument.
