Well, I did wait. There are three girls I could've banged before my girlfriend (one of them almost raped me), and I chose not to.
In fact, the only reason why I lost my virginity at the time I did lose it, was because my girlfriend had been hit by a bloody van, and I realised that I could lose her (or she could lose me), for reasons beyond our control, at any given moment. That's a tipically romantic way of thinking (as in literary romance, rather than the bastardised modern concept), and I do believe most girls would be flattered by this.
I do realise you said "most" (as in "there might be exceptions"), but I recognise it as a "stereotype" and more of a cultural imposition more than truth: I can't say that this sort of behaviour (such as mine) is an exception, since I met a handful of individuals who thought (and acted) likewise. |

I try not to make definate generalized statements. Most meaning the majority of men... I actually should qualify it further to be the majority of men in the developed world (not that I doubt the same is true elsewhere but I really have nothing to base that assumption on). |

I understood you're not generalising (and that's something I wouldn't do either), reason why I'm not really against, but rather curious due to my experience - my question is whether this is really what happens to a considerable majority men (i.e. three quarters of non-virgin males). And, if it happens to be, I wonder how different this would be when it comes to females as well. |
