Rason - rewire - cubase

I'm getting really stressed because I create a track in reason, then rewire each seperate track from reason, into a seperate one in cubase, as I like to use cubase for mixdowns etc.

However when I enable everything on cubase for rewire recording I press record and all goes fine, the midi "block" appears while recording but once I press 'stop', the midi block in the sequencer dissapears and nothing is heard :conf: :conf:

Can anyone help???

I use cubase se 3 btw

that's because the midi track is probably empty.
You'll need to create audio tracks for recordings purposes. Midi is not sound.

Hi Alexlosy,

Are you saying you write the whole track in reason, and then your looking for a way to record each individual track into cubase one at a time?

I think what you'll need to do is export each track as an audio file from reason first and then import it into cubase. Or you could choose the reason device you want to record in the midi track in cubase, and export an audio mixdown from cubase.

I work slightly differently with reason and cubase. I always have the two programs open and playing in sync with each other, usually using reason for samples and drums and cubase for vsti's. I automate as much as possible from cubase but sometimes use reason.

is it possible to have your drums and percs in seperate tracks in cubase in rewire mode with reason? if that makes sense!

This is an interesting thread, I've been using reason for a fair while and want to incorperate more sounds in the mix by using VSTi's via cubase, I havent properly looked in to it yet though.
