cd burning ?

| ok so I use nero and the last 3 times i have tried to burn a cd on my laptop it only gets to 5% and then craps out on me and stops the pc freezes and i end up having to do a hard boot. I am wondering is it my burner or the program? |

you must have one of those laptops that refuses to burn music:P
i had the same problem and just use winamp, its a bit slower but i havent made one coaster yet. |

do you have other progs running when you burn the cd?
if you eat up all your memory then the cd burn will crap out
ALSO make sure your pc isnt hammered with spyware and virii, because that will eat up all your memory as well.
start > run > msconfig
click startup tab

i run nero alone.. i will do the msconfig later today when i get home. I just dont want to have to get a new burner. |

| ok i did the above and there were a bunch of files there. I then ran mcafee hoping it would find any spy stuff and it came up with nothing. How do i tell if the files there should be there or not? Do i need to do a google search for each one? |

Adaware & Spybot Search and Destroy
Download these programs as well and run them after updating them. I bet they find all kinds of goodies on your computer. ;) |
