i was wondering if any ta's that travel from outside dc(va,florida, new york etc)if they can recommend a good hotel/restraunt possibly near the verizon center. a friend of mine is celebrating his wedding aniversery in washington dc and needs a hotel to stay in with possibly a good restraunt nearby or in the hotel itself. i know a lot of ta's have traveled to dc for the djs at glow so i was curious if anybody could help with this. thanks!

When we came, we stayed at a friend's place and ate in Bethesda with relatives, which I'm sure is not what you're looking for. The restaurant was callled Positano, and it was really good, but not exactly close to Glow.

do u mean the mci center? good hotels in dc are $$$
maybe try tyson's corner lots of hotel variety but none would be sketch. my favorite food is out there at a place called shamshiry. it is a persian no fuss super high quality cheap eat. best kabab and rice combo you'll ever encounter with massive servings. if anyone's actually interested get the "kubideh" kabab it is worth a million words. anyone i've taken there is in love with it :P

There is a great hotel on F Street between 7th & 8th called Hotel Monaco. Right across the street from Verizon & the hotel is a great restaurant called Rosa Mexicana. A high class mexican place. There is also a tapas place called Jaleo around the corner too.

Good luck!

The Omni Hotel on Calvert...fairly close to everythings...tons of shops/bars/restaurants all around....and about a 10 minute or so drive to George Town.
