I'm pissed off.
Sweden started out very good, and played out Trinidad & Tobago without scoring any goals in the first half. Fredrik Ljungberg was playing fantastic, while Henrik Larsson was missing his chances for Sweden, Zlatan had a couple of them to.
Christian Wilhelmsson played great in the first half and tried to create som room and chances for Sweden.
Trinidad & Tobago got a red card after a very tough tackle on Wilhelmsson. Everyone probably thought it would be much easier to break of and score a goal now..
Sweden started creating small chances and after a while Trinidad & Tobago fought with their hearts. Sweden still played very well, and had enormous chances to score goals. They tried everything, Marcus Allbäck coming on instead of Anders Svensson who should be playing from start after this performance. I knew he wouldn't do a jack.
Sweden continued having good chances and came closer and closer to a goal, but they didn't score any goals, Allbäck had the best chances along with some breakthroughs by Fredrik Ljungberg. But nothing helped us..
..and in the middle of everything Stern John hit the bar, and Trinidad & Tobago was very close to score. Nothing Shabaan could do though..
We will come back, with Kim in the starting elven and a whole new attitude..

No.
Sweden will make it through after this, we can beat Paraguay and play very well against England.
The most important thing now is that Kim Källström gets the chance to start against our next opponent, then later on we'll have to start playing good and start scoring goals.
I don't want this to be a new World Cup 1990.
Heja Sverige!

Well, it's not over yet. If sweden beats Paraguay we are ok. Unless T&T actually gets a win that is...
As predicted the one important match in this group will be Sweden-Paraguay for the second place. The only thing that changes is that a draw in that match will get Paraguay through (unless Para too looses points to T&T, or sweden beats england).
Not that it matters a lot, the second place in this group will get kicked out by germany anyway... |

Sweden has to concentrate on next game, forget about this game against Trinidad & Tobago and move on.
Take the good things with you, start with Kim instead of Anders Svensson. Zlatan shouldn't be starting on the bench like som idiot declared the other day, and Henrik Larsson has to put up a much better game against Paraguay and England.
Fredrik Ljungberg was great against Trinidad & Tobago, tore his heart out for Sweden to score a goal. Didn't manage to complete it though, He needs much more support, but that'll change if Kim gets the chance to play.
So don't be a coward Lars Lagerbäck, give Kim a chance now when you're job is in danger. |

I can agree on you that Sweden - Paraguay is the crucial match for the second place. Bit I don't agree with you that the team that will go to the second round will automatically be beaten by Germany. I still don't have high hopes for the Germans with their defense, and against the forwards of Sweden (Larson, Ibrahimovic and even Allback) or England (Owen and Rooney) they'll have it difficult passing the second round. |

I hope you are right.
But I try to keep above hope to a minimum. I do not remember the statistics exactly, but the host almost always gets to the semis at least? But maybe germany can finish second in their group. ;) |
