i wonder if there are any interesting Robert Hillman facts? |
Well, he single-handedly brought the happy hardcore genre out of stagnation with his tremendous and highly acclaimed 2005 release "Ravezilla". So you can imagine what kind of clout he carries. |

lol, didnt realize i shouldnt be posting 'raves' on an edm board. its a part of the music as much as dj culture, if not more so. despite what you MAY think about raves and the rave 'scene' it IS alive and well in other parts of this world. Australia, Europe and parts of Japan have SICK parties i couldnt even DREAM of going too.
you guys seem to be a jaded bunch (not all, but some) and should prolly just relax and stop taking everything so seriously.
this may not be a 'top talent' lineup...believe me, i would love to put acts such as cagedbaby, rennie pilgrim, speedy j & chris leibing, and many MANY more in underground events, but the harsh reality is that IS NOT possible. both financially and logistically it CANNOT happen. we offer an alternative to the 'club' scene. and dont get me wrong, i love clubs, esp ones like vision and smartbar that bring REAL, talented djs frequently. truth is they have millions, i dont. hate on it all you want, but i think for 22 bucks, thats a kick ass lineup in a killer spot and you WILL NOT get a better laser, visual and lighting show than what we have in store.
again, hope some of you check it out. hope those who dont, hear nothing but good reviews and wish they woulda went so they come out next time. you people think rave is dead...its just sleeping ;)

Shake-it, I entirely agree with you and I understand where you are coming from. Please do not take our jokes and criticism seriously. We do not intend to be mean-spirited or rude, but we all have gone to many raves in our lives and so we relate those past experiences to the present. It's a joking point of reference for a lot of us because maybe we are jaded, as you have said before..
It is everything you have said. Yes, you provide an alternative. Yes, 22$ isn't a lot considering we all drop 20$ on a whim to get into a club on any given weekend if need be. Yes, the rave scene will always be an integral part of the EDM culture as it grooms teenagers as the next generation of clubbers.
So kudos to you. I hope your event goes off phenomenally and I wish you the very best of luck.

aquadyne...good call. in fact, until recently i felt the same way about this subject as you. thats the driving force behind this party and everything we do. we want newer kids to have the same experiences WE had coming up. if i can even get halfway there, i feel as if i did it right. |

kandy!!!!!!!!
i guess i'm just over DnB and a Happy Hard to the Kore and all that other stuff.
Funky house, proggy house - that's what the shizzle for my nizzle is and god if they come up with anything better i'll be listening to that too.
on a side note - it's been so long since i've tripped on the magic pills, dunno if this is just a reflection or more of a "i miss you" type of deal..... |
